Children's Ministries
Children are an important part of our community.
The mission of our Children’s Ministry programs is to nurture children into a loving and serving relationship with Jesus.
Our Sabbath morning groups, family worships with children’s stories for all to hear, Adventurers club and school holiday Bible programs all add up to a great place for kids to be. All our volunteers are appropriately screened, giving children a fun and safe environment to learn and grow.
Children’s Sabbath School
Children’s Sabbath School is a unique part of the Sabbath worship service as it leads children to learn about Jesus through social interaction, Bible study, praise, and prayer in an environment that caters to the learning styles of children. Our Children’s Sabbath School has four classes that serve children from birth through to youth:
- Beginners / Kindergarten — ages birth–5
- Primary — ages 6–9
- Juniors — ages 10–12
- Earliteen — ages 13 and up
Each class has a wonderful team of volunteers committed to the spiritual growth of children and dedicated to encouraging the development of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ: Grace (Jesus loves me), Community (we love each other), Worship (I love Jesus), and Service (we love you, too).
We would love to meet you! Please feel free to bring your child to visit us during our Sabbath School hour from 10:15 AM to 11:00 AM. Parents are asked to stay with the children in Beginners and are welcome to support their children in all other programs if needed.
Child safety is one of our core values. We aim to ensure the physical and emotional safety of every child in any of our programs, with criminal history record checks and screening of all volunteers and staff who work with children or young people (anyone from 0–18 years of age).
Adventurers
Adventurers is a Christian activity-based program for children aged five to nine. It provides Bible-based learning and new skills through a variety of activities in a fun and creative atmosphere. Children learn about their God-given abilities and how to use them to help others through progressive, age-appropriate classes — one for each year from ages 5/6 to 9 — and earn badges known as Awards. The activities take place in a nurturing environment where children and parents can build lifelong memories.
All volunteers involved in a club are required to follow safety procedures such as police checks and provide a safe place for children.
When: third Saturday afternoon of the month, 3:30–5:30 pm (subject to change — please check the church calendar).
Pathfinders
Pathfinders is an activity-based program run worldwide by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It is filled with action, adventure, challenge and group activities, providing opportunities to develop new skills that produce personal growth, team spirit and spirituality. Completing activities earns badges. Run once a month, with the addition of camps and regional days with other clubs, it is a whole lot of fun.
When: third Saturday afternoon of the month, 3:30–5:30 pm, plus camps throughout the year.
